Using LexPlex — quick guide
Understand how context is built, save credits and upload documents for analysis.
Context and chat memory
LexPlex considers recent messages and attached files within the context window. Tips for managing context below.
What goes into context
Text messages and attached files are included. You can exclude individual messages from context.
Managing length
Longer context uses more tokens. Use "Exclude from context" to remove unnecessary messages.
Documents
Uploaded documents are analyzed and tied to the message — you can save analysis results as DOCX.
Retrying from a point
Use "Retry from here" to restart the conversation from a specific message and reduce token usage.
Privacy
Files are retained for a limited time; delete sensitive documents after use.
How billing works
Billing is calculated based on input and output tokens (per 1M tokens → X credits).
Input and output tokens
Input tokens = your prompt + context; output tokens = model response. Total cost uses configured rates.
Calculation example
If prompt+context = 2k tokens and response = 1k tokens → total 3k tokens. Rates are shown on the top-up page.
Tip: trim unnecessary context to save credits.
DOCX generation
DOCX creation is a separate operation with a fixed cost (see pricing page).
Practical tips
Short examples
Be concise — it saves tokens and improves answers.
Use constraints
Specify country and document type for relevance.
Delete old context
If a conversation gets too long, remove messages or start a new chat.
Verify sources
Always verify generated references to legislation against official sources.
